Life without a laptop is sooooo boring.
2 weeks ago the motherboard of my laptop fried. So right now I’m stranded on a deserted island. Not being able to work on my paper, design or communicate with the outside world.
Although i do have a brand new pc @ the office, the software has not arrived jet. So that leaves me with only a internet connection and something called open office, which does not read docx.
The last month I have basicly done all, and I do mean all, the sketching and analyses and design for the IV app. Without Illu. I can’t move to the next stage.
Also no new daily dealing :(.
And english liturature is very hard to come by here. So I have been spending all my time finding books and papers on the www. Ordering takes again a long time and a freaking hell loads of money.
But there is a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel.
Getting a new laptop, but it will take some time. No idea how I’ll deal with the time lost just jet.
Looks like the practical part of designing and prototyping the Interactive Video won’t be a problem.

maar anders stuur je toch je docx naar mij. converteer ik het wel naar .doc voor je ;)
verder zou je http://picasa.google.nl/ kunnen gebruiken.
en als het goed is zit er nog een MSDN software ding in je mail zodat je gratis Visio kan downloaden voor IAD sketching.
Ik weet dat het niet hetzelfde is als de real deal, maar wellicht kan je er wat mee :(
oh als je money nodig hebt kan je misschien die site voor die vriending van silvy in elkaar zetten ;)

Het zal waars. niet al te lang duren voordat de Adobe packet binnen is.
Ik vin het alleen klote dat ik niet me eigen dingen kan doen. Je kan wel begrijpen dat ik heel veel inspiratie op doe hier in JP, en best wat heb geschetst, maar dus niet kan uitwerken.

Kan me ook voorstellen dat het moeilijk is om aan engelse boeken te komen en het is idd redelijk duur allemaal. Heb je wel aan ebooks gedacht? Bijna alle boeken zijn als ebook verkrijgbaar, kosten ook wel wat, maar dat is altijd minder dan de fysieke boeken en je hoeft er niet op te wachten ;)
Als het een e-boek is kan je het ook gratis dl. Wat ik ook al heb gedaan ;). Maaar het zijn meer die obscure boeken die gespecialiseert zijn op jou gebied die je niet zo makkelijk kunt krijgen. In mijn geval een boek/ verzameling papers van meer dan 2000 pg die alle theorien heeft voor interactie/media/design/pedagogie en andere crap.
