De toekomst van AR in een bar? :)
Het is alweer een geluidsfragment van ruim 2 jaar oud. Maar hiermee kan ik perfect aantonen dat Augmented Reality niet per se de zicht hoeft aan te spreken, maar ook de andere zintuigen, zoals gehoor.
Alleen.. dit is eigenlijk virtual reality… Het vereist enige aanpassing om het te synchroniseren/combineren met echte fysieke objecten.
Dit is eigenlijk fictie, maar de uitwerking is zo mooi gedaan dat ik em moet bloggen.
Ik heb geen idee waar het vandaan komt, voor wie het is. Maar het lijkt er op dat het geinspireerd is van Halflife.
Ubisoft is bezig een hele toffe applicatie te maken voor MSN. zie het filmpje:
Zeker wel tof! Zoals de bron al zei: oude technologie, maar goed geimplementeerd.
En hier ook weer: het publiek staat open voor deze technologie. Kan ik hier uit opmaken dat deze vorm van technologie zo goed aanslaat niet per se omdat het verrast, [...]
Momenteel is de technologie van AR vooral gericht op het zicht. Maar Britse onderzoekers zijn momenteel bezig met een helm die andere zintuigen aanspreekt, namelijk aanraking, smaak en ons reukvermogen moeten eraan geloven.
De helm die ze hierbij ontwikkeld hebben ziet er alleen nog niet zo charmant uit…
